- My husband and I have a flat roof. We have searched around for a few years trying to find someone to replace it. It has been very difficult to find anyone that knows anything about flat roofing let alone certified to do the job for it. My neighbor a few houses down used Rick so I figured I would give him a call. He gave me a very fair estimate and let us know everything he planned on doing. Unfortunately we ran into some problems once the roof was tore off but instead of trying to hide the problems he came to me and told me everything that was wrong and there would be additional costs upfront. His staff was very friendly, and pleasant and they did an exceptional job cleaning up each night before they left. - We have a small home, but the roof was failing. Rick came out, did an estimate, and told us exactly what we needed and why. He has all of the certifications and licenses you could ask for. He provided us with shingle samples so we could choose the perfect color for our house and took pictures of our home so we could see our top 2-3 shingle choices on our house digitally before we made the final decision. Being able to see our roof in the different shingles before we made a final decision was extremely helpful! After seeing the pictures we made a different choice for the shingle color than what we thought we wanted when just looking at the shingle samples. Rick was very responsive and explained everything thoroughly. For the two days they worked on our roof, Rick was there on the job-site--which was a very important to us. Knowing that he was there giving direction and supervising the work directly was fantastic! His workers were pleasant and they left our yard and surrounding areas very clean and free of debris. - Rick and his crew are very professional and kept me informed of every detail as my new roof went on. Rick did a great job of showing me under lying problems as they were discovered. His crew did a pretty good job keeping my yard and neighborhood clean the best as they could, and one the job was complete they did a thorough job cleaning up. - It is obvious that Rick has an understanding of what a working relationship is all about. He works with the customer, and he has a great crew that obviously works for him. He is a man of his word and obviously prizes his integrity. The work was done in a timely manner, with little disruption of our home. - Shortly after a significant storm, the roofing tiles in my yard made me realize my 37 year old roof needed to be replaced. After doing some research, I knew what I wanted done and contacted 3 local companies, that had a good reputation, to get estimates. I was impressed by the genuine passion Rick displayed for ensuring the job was done right and to the satisfaction of his customers. The many reviews I read reinforced that belief, the quoted price was consistent with the other estimates and they offered a superior warranty. When the installation began, I was very happy to see that the job was being done exactly as specified, using only full time roofing employees. They showed up when they said they would and cleaned up at each days end. Further, Rick himself was either here working/supervising or coming by to check on the status and quality of the work. Rick and his employees were always courteous and informative as the job progressed and they all took obvious pride in what they did. - Unfortunately our previous 30+ year old roof had many challenges including several layers of shingles, flat sections with deteriorating membranes, new gable construction, and improper prior installations. Rick and his crew took care of it all and did a beautiful job. In addition, he kept us up to date with the progress and was very diligent about getting our approval for any changes to the gradually evolving plan. They worked through a challenging winter, and at the end of each day our yard never looked like we were "under construction" They did a great with this complicated project. - Rick & his crew replaced our roof in October 2015. We are very happy with the result. Rick's attention to detail & pride in his work are exemplary. During tear off of our old roof, Rick found more rotten wood & problems with our fascia boards than was expected. He was very good in communicating with me via text, telephone, and sending me photos. I would review what he showed me, give him a verbal approval over the phone, and by the time I got home from work he would have a change order written up for me to sign. This is how ALL contractors should operate, I was very pleased. Every expectation we had and everything he said he would do was well documented. In June 2016 I had a minor issue that I communicated to Rick via sending him a text & some pictures. He was very responsive and thorough in correcting the problem. He takes honoring his warranty very seriously. My father in law has developed a leak in his roof, his home was built new in 2000. I sent Rick a text while having Sunday morning coffee with Dad, and he responded within moments that he would be happy to take a look at it and quote him for repairs. Bottom Line: I would recommend Certified Quality Construction without hesitation to anyone. Rick is a pleasure to work with and does excellent work!- Kris Jacobs. 7/21/2016
